Extra Curricular Visits & Enrichment |
Our team of English teachers are always on the lookout for extra-curricular activities that broaden our students’ experience of language and literature.
Whenever we can get students out to theatres to see a performance related to one of our texts then we do. We also arrange for visiting theatre companies to perform in-school to bring the stories to life.
We regularly enter writing competitions and huge numbers of our students have their poems and stories published!
Our writer-in-residence, Becci Fearnley, is in school every week working with groups of students alongside our librarian, Mrs Murdoch.
We also organise author visits and workshops, as well as taking part in initiatives such as the Hampshire Book Award, where students form the judging panel for new releases.
