Teacher Training
Would you like to train as a teacher?
Whether it is a career you have always wanted to pursue, or you have just begun to explore teaching as a possible next step, the Partnership would be delighted to hear from you.
School-based training gives you hands-on experience alongside academic study, enabling you to develop as a teacher whilst constantly reflecting on the process. An interesting and rigorous programme of study within a school is provided, which compliments your academic studies at university. You will also be mentored by an experienced member of staff.
Court Moor are the lead school in the Partnership, a new alliance of local education providers, from primary level through to post-16 education, established in order to develop outstanding levels of teacher recruitment in Fleet and the local areas. Their primary partners include Heatherside (Junior School and Infant School), Church Crookham Junior School and Tweseldown Infant School; at secondary level, they work with Fernhill School, Wavell School. Tomlinscote School, Rodborough and Rowhill School. In addition, they work with The Sixth Form College in Farnborough, which can host trainees who are particularly keen to teach A-level subjects. As a partnership, we endeavour to attract large volumes of applicants, and provide high-quality training provision to those who train at any of the schools within our partnership. We offer both PGCE and QTS-only routes, via the University of Reading, which has an exceptional track record in teacher training. We have 15 trainees across the partnership for 2019-20, and are keen to recruit more for 2020-21.
