Mr Ballard Head of Geography
For me Geography is one of the most relevant and interesting subjects that we teach in schools. Every little piece of knowledge gained about our amazing planet could be important in our lives. I have been fortunate enough to live and travel in many countries in Africa and Asia and this has translated into a passion for sharing and educating our community about these regions. Every time a student leaves my classroom with a smile on their face I consider it a job well done.

Miss Speed Geography Teacher
I started my teaching career at Fernhill in 2019. My background is in Physical Geography, and I have enjoyed the opportunity to introduce glaciology as a new unit of work in Key Stage 3. My goal is to ensure that every child enjoys learning something new about the world in their Geography lessons. Outside of school I can often be found rock climbing, and reading books.
